2024 Tennessee State Championship will be May 30, 31, June 1st. I had given some folks the wrong dates so I wanted to get this out as soon as possible.

The Tennessee State Championship, The Regulators Reckoning, will be in June again this year instead of October due to The National Championship being on the weekend we used to be on.

 

12 Main Match Stages, Warm Up, Wild Bunch and Black Powder matches as well as Long Range and Speed Side Matches.

This year we will be the last leg of the Magnificent 7, separate application for this is on our State Match tab on our website.
 

I'll attach a schedule as soon as it is ready, application is on the State Match tab on our website.

 

As always even though it isn't in October, Thursday will be "Are You Tough Enough To Wear Pink" day!!

General Discussion / Warm up for the Tennessee State Championship

Load up your wagons hitch up your teams and head to Wartrace for our May 7th Cowboy match. It will be the next to last time at Wartrace to tune up for the SASS Tennessee State Championship. If you haven't signed up, you don't want to miss it, right now we have 161 signed up. Just bring your application, signed release and gold dust Saturday to get signed up, or you can mail it in.
Sign up starts at 8:30, Safety Meeting at 9:30 and shooting starts around 10:00. The weather looks to be pleasant, mid 50's to mid 60's while we are shooting. Rain doesn't look to be in the forecast during shooting time but you might want to bring your rain gear just in case.
We will be shooting 5 stages in the Old Town and at least one stage may take you back to 1883, they should be a lot of fun. We will be shooting a Mid-Month Match on May 21st.

Saddle your ponies, load your wagons, check your ammo, it looks like a gunfight!!

We will be shooting Cowboy and those folks with them newfangled guns will be shooting Wild Bunch.

The temperature looks to be great, 50's overnight and 70 for the the high. Just in case, pack your raingear. It is supposed to rain overnight and be gone early in the morning.

Registration 8:30, Safety Meeting 9:30 and shooting starts around 10:00

Don't forget The Tennessee State Championship has moved this year to June 2-4 2022. Please get your applications in early so we can get the match setup, awards ordered, etc.

General Discussion / Wartrace Regulators Wild Bunch /Cowboy Match and Blue Boy Memorial

Saddle your pony, hitch up your team or be ready to catch the stage Saturday morning because we will be shooting!! The weather is looking good. It looks like it will be mid 40's to mid 50's and dry while we are shooting.

We will be shooting Cowboy and Wild Bunch so something for everyone, come on out and join the fun!

Registration starts at 8:30, Safety Meeting 9:30 and shooting around 10:00. Please remember to sign up as soon as you get to the range so that we can complete the registration and have the match set up and be ready to start on time.

If you haven't paid your membership fees bring it with you, the gate combination will be changed soon.

Please note there will be a Memorial Service for Blue Boy on Saturday afternoon at 3pm at Central Christian Church, 404 East Main Street, Murfreesboro, TN. Please come out if you can and remember Blue Boy with family and friends, Cowboy attire is great.

Wartrace Regulators Cowboy/Wild Bunch Match 2/19 is a go!!!
 
We will be shooting this Saturday, Registration begins at 8:30, Safety Meeting 9:30 and shooting begins around 10:00. Yes Yohan we are going to have a match!!
It is supposed to be pretty chilly when we start so don't forget your Union Suits. It looks like it will turn out to be a good day and I, for one, am ready to shoot!!

The Tennessee State Championship is still on! Papa Dave told us yesterday he already has 75 entries. If you plan to shoot think about getting your application in. I think due to so many matches cancelled we'll have a lot of shooters that have never been here and we have a 225 shooter limit

Proposed rule change:
Eliminate the automatic Stage DQ penalty for leaving the loading table with a cocked rifle.
In such instances, the shooter will be directe  d to point the rifle safely into the back berm, bring the hammer to full cock if it is in the half-cock/safety position, then pull the trigger.
If no round is fired, the shooter will be directed to finish staging firearms in order to start the stage (No Call).
If a round fires when the shooter pulls the trigger, the shooter will be assessed a Stage DQ and directed to proceed to the unloading table
PASSED by vote of the Territorial Governors.
YES - 208 (75.3%)
NO -- 68 (24.6%)

Thursday, side match day will also be "Are You Tough Enough To Wear Pink" day! We will again collecting money for the American Cancer Society.

 

Please consider booking your room early as there is a big concert the same weekend. Here is an alert from Papa Dave.

Any shooters planning to shoot the SASS Tennessee State Match 2019 Oct. 10-12, 2019 should consider booking rooms early due Manchester holding a Concert Called the “Exit 111 Festival” at the same time of our State Match. It will be held at the Bonnaroo grounds in Manchester at the I24 Exit 111 in Manchester.
Hotels in Manchester will be going fast and I have indications at a much higher price. We suggest booking rooms in Tullahoma or Shelbyville.

It seems like there is enough interest to add Silver Senior (65+) Gunfighter to the Tennessee State Championship. We have to have 5 people sign up to make it a Category. If you haven't signed up yet and want to shoot SSGF just write it on the application. If you've already signed up and want to change categories just contact Papa Dave.
