Original Winchester Pump 12 gage
Like most of these, only about 50% of blue left, but this one is very, very tight and the bushing hasn't been moved.
Will make someone a great shooter for years and years.

Where, Oh Where is Mongo

Oh where, oh where can Mongo be
Oh where oh where can he be...
It rained and poured, and rained some more
And Mongo was nowhere to be....
The gauntlet was throw, but i was alone
Scared of the weather was he....
If you should see Mongo b’fore i do
Tell him he owes me a brew or two....

Howdy Pards,
It's that time of year again for our Club Officer Elections.  We will have the election at our next shoot in December.
Thank you to everyone for stepping up and volunteering to make our club work.

And the Nominations are:

Ramrod - Keystone

Top Hand - Jackalope

Marshall - Last Kiss

Bean Counter - Steely I. Justice

Sutler - Anita Margarita

Territorial Gov. - Tombstone

Thanks again to all these hard working Cowboys and Cowgirls that make this a fun club for all of us to enjoy.
And always remember, you don't have to be a club officer to help out on the range.
I'm always amazed and proud how well our club works and all the volunteers that show up when needed.
I look forward to next year and think we have one of the best group of nominations ever!

It's been an honor to serve as your ramrod,
Cactus

BRING YOUR $$$$ FOR BULLETS ON SATURDAY.
WIAMEA WILL DELIVER.

If you ordered bullets and you can't make the shoot, I can purchase your lead and hold it till next match.
Cactus

Hello Pards,
We are fortunate to have several local options for purchasing our lead.
If anyone is interested, Outlawbullets.com run by Waimea is offering $2 off per box to our club.
He will also deliver the bullets once a large enough order from the club is placed.
Feel free to chime in on this with opinions.

General Discussion / Don't let the weather keep you away tomorrow!!!
« on: April 08, 2016, 07:30:07 PM »
Howdy Pards!
Please don't let the chilly temps or the wind keep you away tomorrow.
Even if you don't shoot, please show up and eat some food!
We have food for 150 People and lots of beverages to drink up!
As of now, we will eat in the ORSA Clubhouse after the shoot (nice and warm).

NOTE: Do NOT use the back road to the club house!!!!
There will be a Long Range shooting event going on tomorrow.
Parking will also be an issue, so consider carpooling from the AP range to the clubhouse.

Thanks!

General Discussion / START TIME FOR SATURDAY (MARCH SHOOT)
« on: March 10, 2016, 01:01:52 PM »
Howdy Pards!
We will start as close to normal time as possible.
If anyone shows up late, we will just work them in.
Thanks for everyone's patience on this.

Last year our shoot was after daylight savings change.
That was the reason behind the scheduled late start in March.

See Y'all Saturday!

General Discussion / Preacher Red and the Silver Beaver
« on: February 14, 2016, 05:51:03 PM »
For everyone that knows Preacher Red, most of you know he has been involved with Boy Scouts his entire life.
The Great Smoky Mountain Council will honor Frank Jennings (Preacher Red) and others with the Silver Beaver Award.
As far as I know, this is the highest honor the council can award.  In scouts, silver is higher that gold.
This is a banquet and award ceremony.

About the award:
The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council.[1] The Silver Beaver is an award given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. It is given to those who do not actively seek it.

Particulars:
Time: 6:30pm (Starts promptly so be early)
Day: March 4th
Place: Rothchilds (8807 Kingston Pike)
Cost: $30 before February 26th ($40 after that)

I plan to dress cowboy.
Hope to see some of you there,
Cactus
