Lost a Cowboy
« on: March 22, 2016, 10:02:36 AM »
Ed Miles, aka Clint Westwood, has passed away. Westwood was one of our founding members I think. If he was not a charter member he was a long time member of SMSS. Please keep Ed and his family in your hearts and prayers.

Our condolences and prayers for Ed Miles' family and friends.

PS: According to the original Articles of Corporation (Charter) of The Smoky Mountain Shootists Society, Ed Miles was the Chief Scout (chair, membership Committee). Therefore a founding member.

I am sorry to hear about this as Ed was an essential founder and in fact in many ways kept the communication lines open that facilitated the birth of the club.

I will write about Ed in the next newsletter.

I hate to here this. He was one of the top shooters in the early days if I remember correctly. I always enjoyed talking with him. The last time we talked at our annual SMSS reunion he talked about the good times we had.  As I remember he was having trouble with his hands and was very concerned about dropping a revolver.
