WTB: Leather
« on: June 14, 2020, 05:26:46 PM »
Need belt, holsters, 12 GA shotshell carriers.

Standard draw, not cross draw.

For 2 Uberti Cattlemen 44 Special (shooting 44 Russian) 5-1/2 inch barrel revolvers.

Black would be nice, fancy would be nice, new would also be nice (makers may PM me).

But will consider used even if not the right color or right "fanciness", really just need a solid setup that works.

What I have now does not work, need to pinch the leather just to reholster. Also on the last buckle notch. Tried using a bandolier I bought, thought it would work and look great. Looks great but I can't easily grab two shotgun shells.

For Levi's, I wear a 34" waist.
Have all my guns, now need to learn reloading. Anyone want to volunteer to be my local mentor?

I have a gun belt for sale, size 34, black.  Paid $400 for it.  Will sell for $250.  Am trying to sell all my guns.  See my post.

I have to measure the gun belt I used in june, find buckle to hole distance. I will add that detail to this thread as soon as I can.

Also, I'm shooting 1873s, 5-1/2 in, in .44.

I see the guns you posted a different. I hope to be at the July match, would be willing to test fit if you think my guns will fit and if convenient for you to stop by.

If you have leather to sell which will fit my guns and the middle hole is about 41 inches from the tip of the buckle, please bring it on Saturday.

I have a set. It is a custom holster set I had made from me which is a rich brown basket weave. It is suede lined with 44- 45 cal. Bullet Loops and it has a matching knife sheath.  I am asking $375.00.  If interested call me 865-266-0770. I’ll send a photo.  Lightning McCoy.

Thanks to members who have offered options. And to local makers who have taken time to discuss custom rigs.

Just a quick post to update with my decision to order the Mernickle "Starter Rig." Pending the answer to a couple questions I will ask the maker, I will order shortly and it should arrive in 4-6 weeks.

I expect to use this rig for a year or so and figure out over time what changes I would like in a custom rig.
