1. 6 fast stages
2. someone or something has upset someone - "and that's what started the gunfight"
3. beverages will be wagered
4. there will be at least one frozen Margarita (Anita) at the range and the cantina
-
Mongo,
This frozen Margarita will be there, but I can't guarantee I will be shooting. I am not designed to function below 40 degrees without a ski parka and a hat with ear flaps.
I wonder if the cantina can make an Irish Coffee? ;)

Anita,
You are far wiser than the rest of us ;)
-
Well,
I'll be there, if for no other reason than to cast my vote for the 2018 officers.

A handful of brave souls assembled at base camp. The Sherpas had left during the night leaving the party to fend for themselves. Equipment and provisions were checked for the last time as the group prepared for the arduous journey up the slope. Nearing exhaustion, and suffering from encroaching hypothermia, the party reached the first rendezvous point.
The leader moved to the front to address the group. He began to speak, “Welcome to stage 3, rifle 10, pistols 10, and shotgun 4 plus -.”
-
That's funny, I don't care who you are.....Unless, of course, you're part of the group. ;)

Thank you Harley. I'm just trying to drum up some interest. This wire and the Ocoee Ranger wire have been kind of dead lately.

Well, maybe I shouldn't mention it ahead of the Saturday match, but there is the.....
Legend of Bigtoe:
It's supposed to be some kind of Abominable Snowman, Sasquatch, or Bigfoot type
character that is said to roam the wilder reaches of the Oak Ridge range. Leaves
distinctive footprints, is dressed only in a few rags, and smells terrible.
Truth be told, it was just an ordinary Cowboy shooter that became separated from
the small group at the Great Deep Freeze match in January a few years ago. Sadly,
it lost all but one really big toe to frostbite and though highly educated, the ability
to speak.
Older folks advise if Bigtoe is encountered, give it a hand warmer and a snack, and
it should return to it's cave until next year.
Harley.

Bigtoe or not, Kitty Kat and I will be there! Thermal undies and flannel lined jeans have already been laid out.
I'm curious as to what adventures Jackalope has planned for us.
I had planned to try my hand at outlaw, with a set of "new to me" pistols and a return to my 97, but with cold steel and cold hands, I'm going to stick with gunfighter tomorrow and my regular guns.
I hope we have a decent showing of brave souls!
-
If BIGTOE does show up, hope there will be enough toe warmers to go around.
I am looking for mine now. ;)
-
You know what starts a lot of gunfights in December? Cold weather - or the situations that result from it! I think the stories are pretty darned funny, but then again, I'm a little odd.

Odd is good, normal is boring. Jackalope knows cold weather probably better than an old Wisconsin boy like me. I'm looking forward to the stories.
-
Harley,
I was wondering what happened to my BIG TOE???
Its definitely big enough to wander around by itself.
I can even show y'all where it used to live.
-
No pun on you intended, Judge. You have nine toes!
Harley.
Snowing, here.
