I believe he was on the very first posse I was ever on at old Hickory Creek. I asked him if he really
was a preacher. He said, "H@#** no, but my daddy was."  I still don't know if that was true or if
he was joking.

It is with a heavy heart to tell you Preacher Red passed away at his home last night.  His granddaughter call me to say he went to be with his maker around 10 PM.  She asked me to tell his Cowboy friends..  I lost my mentor and great friend.  He will be missed by us all.  no details are available at this time  If you would like to send your condolences to Mrs. Frank Jennings at 3407 Maple Valley, Knoxville TN 37931, she would appreciate your support and comfort.

It is with tears on my keyboard that I am thinking about this. I dont know if Preacher was already a member when I joined but he was one of our oldest members. He was a good friend and a hell of a fighter. I have missed him since he had to quit shooting. I will miss him more knowing he wont be back.

Our hearts go out to Susan and family. He was one of a kind and loved by all.
All I can say is "Do I have a P yet?"

Sad news!  He fought his earlier health battles in respectful ways. I always enjoyed shooting with him. I remember one of the last times that we shot together he shot the entire match without a P. The only match without one that I can remember. He seem to enjoy them and I enjoyed timing the seven shots plus the three reloads.
