I predict...

1.)  Five stages plus a side match.  Total ammo count is 50 rifle, 55 handgun, and 20+ shotgun.

2.)  Weather will be dry and partly cloudy.

3.)  You will benefit from reviewing SASS rules regarding movement with a rifle.

     A rifle is considered SAFE for movement (in hand, while moving through a stage) in the following condition only:
          - Hammer fully down on an empty chamber or expended round, action closed.
          - Action open, round on carrier or in chamber.

1.)  Five match stages and a side match.

2.)  Ammo count will be 50 rifle, 50 handgun, and 18+ shotgun.

3.)  Side match will be a little easier Saturday than it was Tuesday.  Ten rifle shells and as many shotgun shells as you want.

General Discussion / Perforated Case

Here is a case failure I have not seen before.  It was the only damaged case of the 60 revolver cartridges I used during a recent match.  It's a Remington .45 Colt case that has been fired 3 or 4 times.  The perforation is located very close to where the base of the seated bullet would have been.  The load was one I've been using for years, a Lyman 454190 bullet (253 grains), lubed with 50/50 beeswax/crisco, 33 grains of Goex FFFg and a Federal LP primer fired from a Uberti-made revolver. 

I'm sure we've all seen many split cases before, but have you seen a circular perforation such as this?

1.)  Five stages plus one side match stage.  Ammo count will be 50 rifle, 60 handgun and 22+ shotgun.

2.)  We'll see some targets that haven't been outside for a while.

3.)  We'll also want a jacket.

Two bags (500 each) of Claybuster CB1138-12 wads, 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 ounce.  (Duplicates Winchester WAA Red wads). 

$20 per bag.

Will trade for Claybuster CB1118-12 (Winchester WAA12) wads.

I predict...

1.)  The main match will be five stages on three bays.  Total ammo count for these stages will be, 50, 50, 18+.
 
2.)  There will be an optional side match stage that will be scored separately.  Ammo count for this stage will be 10+ and 10+.  No shotgun on this stage but you will be allowed to shoot up as much handgun and rifle ammo as you wish.

3.)  If you have spent all summer hoping that the Texas Star would make an appearance, your wish comes true in the side match stage.  But wait, there's more!  If you try the side match, we'll throw in a second Texas Star absolutely free!  That's right, folks, not one, but TWO Texas Stars on the same stage!

I predict...

1.)  Six stages on three bays.

2.)  Round count will be 10, 10, 4+ on all except stage 4.  Stage 4 will require 10, 10, 4+ and one extra round for either handgun or rifle.

3.)  There will be no rifle or handgun knockdowns.

4.)  Two of the stages will be "round-count" and all six will have movement between tables.

5.)  If the weather is as rainy as the news forecasts, all previous predictions are null and void. 

If it's too wet, I predict...

A.)  The smallish crowd will shoot five or six stages from inside the first building.

B.)  We will be putting the steel away in the rain.  (ORSA has an event planned that will require the entire AP range.)
