We plan to set up for the May match on 5 May at 10:00 AM.

We're setting up earlier than usual so we can hold an Introduction to Cowboy Shooting session in the clubhouse at 1:00 PM.

I predict...

1.)  Six main match stages.  No side match.

2.)  Weather will be fantastic.

3.)  There will be knockdown targets for rifle and handgun.

4.)  We will revisit some of my favorite gunfight stories from the last few years.

5.)  There will be some props to navigate.

6.)  Ammo count will be 60 rifle, 60 handgun and 22+ shotgun.

7.)  This will be a fun match.

I predict...

1.)  Five main stages and one side match stage.  For the main match, the ammo count is 50 rifle, 50 handgun and 20 shotgun shells.  You'll need ten handgun rounds for the side match and maybe some shotgun shells.  That's up to you.

2.)  Some of us will bring an umbrella.

3.)  No rifle or handgun knockdown targets on the main match stages.  There will be a few on the side match stage.

1.)  Five main match stages and one side match.

2.)  You will need 50 rifle, 50 handgun and 18+ shotgun shells for the main match.  Side match will have ten rifle and ten handgun.

3.)  There will be some rifle and handgun knockdown targets.

4.)  Weather will be warm but you might want 40% of a scattered umbrella.  (?)

I predict...

1.)  Five main match stages and one side match.

2.)  Main match ammo count will be 50-50-18.  Side match will be ten rifle and ten handgun.

3.)  You might want a jacket.

4.)  There will be knockdown targets for rifle and handgun.

5.)  Gunfight stories are courtesy of True Grit, Big Jake, Fistful of Dollars, Open Range and Outlaw Josey Wales.  And, as it usually does, the starting line for the side match stage is from The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean.

Don't forget, you might want a jacket.

I predict...

1.)  Five main match stages and one side match.
2.)  We will need 50 rifle, 50 handgun, and at least 24 shotgun shells for the five main stages.  Bring some extra handgun and rifle ammo for the side match.
3.)  There will be some rifle and handgun knockdown targets.
4.)  We will not need parkas or snow shovels.
5.)  You may notice that these Christmas stories do not bear tidings of great joy or wishes for peace unto one another.

I predict...

1.)  Five main match stages and one side match.

2.)  Ammo count will be 10-10-4+ on the main match stages.  Side match will be 10 rifle and 10 handgun.

3.)  There will be some knockdown targets for your rifle.

4.)  Rifle targets will be at 10 yards or closer, handgun targets will be about 6 yards, and shotgun knockdown targets at about 8 yards.  The side match targets will be a little more difficult.

5.)  Longshot Luther made some bells for us and we'll be seeing the Texas star, too.

What do you predict?
