RO I Class
« on: March 10, 2021, 09:35:37 PM »
We will be holding a RO I class on March 21st at 11:00. Everyone needs to take at least RO I, this does not mean you have to run the timer but I will teach you more than most TO's know. We will go over the rules, what to do in most situations and what the correct call is 99% of the time.
Cost is $25 for first time, $10 for the refresher course. Everyone is welcome, you do need to be a member of SASS. If you are not a member of SASS and want to take the course you can but you dont get a RO pin.

Let me know who is coming and I will have some snacks for the breaks.

I'm in assuming I can get someone to cover the carry qualification I'm scheduled for that morning.

I'll post again if I can not get coverage. Otherwise, I'll be there.
Have all my guns, now need to learn reloading. Anyone want to volunteer to be my local mentor?

Sounds good
On a side note, there is plenty of room and I am loud enough for social distancing.

Well, they did give me a microphone.

I plan to have a ROII class next month, you need ROI first. Come on in and take the class, ask the hard questions. I call it "stump the teacher" I have examples that will make you head explode. Saw one just last week.

Tombstone, do we need to register for ROI March 21st or just show up?  Inquiring minds want to know.  Either way I'm planning on being there

It looks like I may be able to attend. Where will the class be held? Please use my email (rlo86@yahoo.com) for replies.
Thanks, Rowdy.

I plan on attending. What do we need to bring, if anything?

I will have everything needed, you might want to bring a snack and something to drink. There are some breaks and time to visit a little bit.
We will be at the new building on the action pistol range at 11:00.
It is looking like there will be a good attendance. I am looking forward to this.

We had a really good class, total of 9 current shooters, 7 of ours, 2 from Johnson City area and three that have never shot but wanted to see what the class was about and they plan to come shoot next month.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to attend and listen to me for that long. I hope everyone learned something.

Tombstone. I think this answers the question I ask about the bullet loops on the holster.
Looks like at one time my have been illegal but now OK.

I have the 2021 Chevrons for the ROI pins now. I will plan to bring them to the next few matches and hopefully get them to to folks that took the class.
