General Discussion / Freight wagon coming.
« on: November 17, 2020, 10:20:03 AM »
We got another load of freight coming in from Gamaliel Shooting Supply. This can save you a little gold dust in Hazmat fees and freight. You will have to call them and order what you need, (if it is available, things are getting scarce). Then be there to pick it up off the truck or have someone pick it up for you. (I will be there.)

From David Turner
“We are planning a truck to deliver to Oak Ridge next week 11/19 (Thursday) or 11/20 (Friday) I will send out another email when I know for sure time and day. Unfortunately we are limited right now with supplies, hopefully that will get better soon. Please place your order by Tuesday 11/17/ Call 270-457-2825.”

General Discussion / A great chance to save on shipping and haz-mat fees.

A great chance to save on shipping and haz-mat fees.

The shotgunners are planning a truck this way from Gamaliel Shooting Supply  Friday 3/15/2019. They need all orders by Wednesday 3/13/2019.

Please let everyone know that they can place an order with no sales tax, shipping charge or haz mat fee.

Gamaliel was taken over by Brownells so there is no website you can go to and do your shopping. You will just have to call them up and see if they have what you want. The number is 1-270-457-2825. Make sure that you tell them your order is for the truck going to ORSA! If you can talk to David, even better.

You will have to pay for your order in advance. Then be there when the truck arrives, or have made arrangements for someone else to pick up your stuff for you. It is not ORSA or the shotgunners responsibility to take care of things for you.

A great chance to stock up on powder and primers! Remember, Ammo will get you through times of No Money, better than Money will get you through times of No Ammo.

Keep that powder dry.

General Discussion / Sporting Clays Comes To ORSA.
« on: July 09, 2018, 12:59:54 AM »
Last Sat. was the official opening of the Sporting Clays course at ORSA. I attended and tried it out. It is a lot of fun.

It is a 13 station 100 round course that is open to all ORSA members.

The birds come at you, away from you and straight up in the air. They even have a rabbit run.

Don’t worry about having to have some fancy, high dollar O/U to shoot it. Any shotgun that works for Cowboy Shooting will work here. I’m planning to take my model 87 out next time I go. (But I will put the full length stock back on it first).

As I understand it, it will be open Fri. 1pm to 4pm, Sat. 9am to 5pm and Sunday 12 to 4.

General Discussion / Upcoming ORSA Elections
« on: July 02, 2018, 02:08:29 PM »
It is that time again. We need people willing to serve on the ORSA Board. If you enjoy the shooting and you want to see this place keep moving in the right direction then it is time to stand up and offer to help.

If you don’t like something that is happening or there is something that you would like to see happen, step up. You can do a lot more good sitting in a Board meeting than whining about something over a Dos Equis at the cantina.

I know all the excuses. We are all busy and we all have a lot of stuff on our plates already. Two positions that will be left open this election are the Club Secretary and Roads & Grounds as Toby and Linda have both announced that they will defiantly not be returning.

If not you, Who?

If not now, When?
