Where, Oh Where is Mongo
Oh where, oh where can Mongo be
Oh where oh where can he be...
It rained and poured, and rained some more
And Mongo was nowhere to be....
The gauntlet was throw, but i was alone
Scared of the weather was he....
If you should see Mongo b’fore i do
Tell him he owes me a brew or two....

Mongo is in a warm and dry saloon with sheriff Bart. We will "play" at the next match, if it's not raining.

You don't want to miss a match around here. People talk bad about you and write poetry! ;D

My Airsoft gun was in the truck. Just letting you know Mongo. :)

I'm not a fan of shooting in the rain and I live with a "Kitty Kat" who despises it.
We missed you all today.

What Rain?

Umm, the wet stuff falling out of the sky. Using a covered area to shoot was a great idea.
Unless it's a big shoot, we're probably not going to shoot in the rain. Kitty Kat hates it and I think it's a safety issue. I've come very close to dropping two long guns while shooting in the rain and recently I almost crashed and burned while trying to move with a shotgun over a patch of ground between two tables that someone had covered with a tarp because the previous shooter had slipped in the mud.
Some shooters don't do cold temperatures, we don't like rain.
The real loss for us yesterday was not getting to socialize with our friends.

I was really surprised to see as many people there as showed up. I had figured we would stand around for a while and then go and have brunch.
As it turned out, it did not start raining until we were already shooting stage 1. It was OK since there was only one posse and we could all fit in the building and keep the gun carts under the pop-up canopies. Other than running out to reset the SG targets, there was no reason to get wet at all.
Good thing rainy day crowd size was self-limiting because two posses would have been a mess!
