Jackrabbit Bob
« on: July 22, 2016, 03:23:38 PM »
I received a call from JB Hemlock today and he let me know Jackrabbit Bob has passed away today.

Jackrabbit was one of our earliest members, very active in our club and getting it off the ground, he was safety officer when I joined back in 2000. Jackrabbit moved to Florida to go to work for AWA when they were trying to make a Lighting that worked.
I will post anything else I hear for those of us who knew him.

JR Bob was indeed a very active member and brought his family to shoot as well.
He helped me out with some gun smithing projects in those days.

He also helped us out with some car repairs.

I am very sorry to hear this news.

Hey Folks,

Billy here. Jack Rabbit's Son.  I'm still waiting for the funeral home down in Florida to his cremains back up here to Tennessee.  They said it would take 10-14 Business days.  I sent the paperwork to them on 25th, so, it just been a week.  As soon as we have them we plan on having a receiving of friends & Memorial service, and later in the week a grave side service at the New Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.  I'll keep everyone apprised as to when.

In the meantime, I'm needing your all's help. We're trying to put together a memorial DVD and need some of pictures from him back when he was shooting. Unfortunately, most of the photos and stuff he had are down in Florida and hidden or lost in the multiple moves he made.  I've received a really nice photo (attached) that we want to use as memorial photo, but, it's too low quality.  I'm not sure who took it, but if someone can help track down the original it would be great. and if anyone else has any more photos of him, please send them too me.

Thanks, Billy

Billy,

My condolences to you and your family. I liked your dad a lot.

I went through the CD's I have and found 3 pictures of JRB. I do not believe that these will suit your needs but have attached them in any case.

I do not have the one you requested.

If you would like me to e-mail them to you, contact me at jimmayo45@comcast.net

P.S.  Looking for one or two cowboys willing to speak or perform his eulogy.  You all were good friends with him and I would be very grateful.

Pam has asked if there might be one or two cowboys who would do a eulogy for Jackrabbit Bob, I am not even sure I can make the service so I can not commit to anything. If one of the Cowboys could get up and say a few words it would make this time a little easier on the family.
