To not be off topic too far with this, I'll post it here. (Inspired by Tombstone.)
Things I'd Like to See:
That those we miss could show their smiling faces
And strap on their guns and take their places
We could hug, shake hands, mingle with ease
Without care or threat of disease
To not give a hoot about the weather
Instead be glad just to be together
Have lead and powder to burn as we want to
And not even have to think of a twenty-two
Big or small, close or far...
Look at targets and say, "There they are!"
If stages tough and hard to play
We'd just grin and say, "Okay."
Forget the world and get the thrill we seek
Get a smile to last all week
Run and gun, work up a thirst
Then see who gets to the restaurant first
Live and enjoy the Cowboy Way
Even if it's only for the day
