I happened to see an EMPLOYEE come out of a restaurant, today, and it made me think:
These days you can't tell who is dressed as a clown, or is JUST a clown.

I can't believe you just made such a politically insensitive comment!  You need to get on all platforms of social media and apologize.

I'm so traumatized that I'm going to have to spend a few hours with my therapy cat.  ;)

Well,
Have you ever wondered what some folks must think when a group of mature adults shows up at a bar/restaurant in cowboy garb?

It's simple. Everyone else are the one's who are dressed funny.

It's odd to see how all that has changed. Many years ago when we first got into the game, we dressed
over the top, and when we went out to restaurants or anywhere else, folks wanted to talk to us. Many
said they enjoyed seeing us that way. Not anymore! People fear what they don't understand, and we're
no longer understood. No one makes eye contact. Dressing up in any way is not the way, these days.
Dressing down is the norm. Sad.

Are modern animals smarter than they used to be, in particular, domestic animals?
OR, are modern humans dumbed down to the point we think it so?
What I see, seems to suggest that millennia of contact has rubbed off, so to speak.
However, in my life I have kept dogs, cats, horses, chickens, etc. I know that all of
those are much smarter than given credit.
We have a cat near eleven years old that has a human vocabulary of around a half
dozen words. No lie!
Just thinking, as always.....

Hint: It started in Europe in 2013. Now, many folks participate. I thought I would try it this year.

There is no medium weight weather for Cowboy Action Shooting.....

I read that February is the shortest AND longest month. (Consider today, and the last few days.)  >:(

I miss the days:
Kiss and I once were part of a posse that went everywhere like in brackets. Let's go to Tn. State. Of course.
Twelve or fifteen of us. Let's go to Alabama. Sure. Spend several days at Possum Trot. Absolutely! Road trip
for monthly's, yep. Ga. State. No problem. Texas? Well, why not. All jobs always got done. Never had to ask
for anything. All was fun, and fun. THEN, the after-party.....Stay up all night, rain, snow, heat.....so?
Some have quit, many have had health/family problems, some have moved away, children, grandchildren,
work, etc.
And my shooting partner with many issues.....Just not the same.
Yeah, I miss the days!
Harley.  :(

Harley,

Wow!

That made me remember back. We did have some times.
Unfortunately,  I've been one to miss a bunch the last few years. I'm trying to get back in the game but it's a tough hill to climb.

I guess we just have to enjoy keeping up with The Tombstones. They seem to always be on a trail drive of some sort.

I'll  be back!

With retirement only a few month away, I plan to add to my away match repertoire, if money and health allow.

Hopefully, a number of our regulars will be able to return from the "injured reserve" list.
