It is with great sorrow that I inform y'all the Lightning now sits by the campfire with Preacher Red. Please keep the family in your thoughts & prayers.

This is horrible, I don't have the words to express my sorrow. He was another of the best.

I'm sorry that I did not know Preacher Red, but the death of Lightning McCoy is devastating news to Kitty Kat and I. He will be sorely missed.
-
A big man with an even bigger heart, a passion for life not surpassed by many.
That is how I remember Lightning. To his family and my cowboy friends I share your sadness.
May he rest in peace.

Heart breaking news.
A great pard and cowboy friend.
True Class.

This news is like a punch to the heart. His kind won't be seen again.
To say he was a friend doesn't cover it well enough.

Was a sad way to end last year and a sad way to start this year
They both had tremendous cowboy spirit and will be missed

Devastating doesn't do to my heart over hearing of his passing. It is worse for me to loose the big guy. Happy trails in your afterlife Lightning.

It is so sad to hear of the passing of Lightning McCoy. He was a gentle giant of a man who always had a big smile and a kind word. He will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace my friend.

Sad news Lightning Mccoy was always a gentleman every time we got together, always enjoyed his conversation and his effort to be sharply dressed.
We lost a great one, condolences to his family.
-
I'm going to miss Lighting. He was a true cowboy at heart and always was one that I looked up to.
-
This is so sad. He was someone I was always glad to see. A good person.

I'll miss that Cowboy. A great loss to all of us.

What a sad day indeed. He spoke to me about his life and what a great man he was. MY thoughts echo all that has been said already.
Last year Preacher Red and now another Great man Lighting McCoy. Both of please look down on us and keep us shooting straight.

Truly an outstanding person and a great Pard.
He exemplifies the "Spirit of the Game".
To greener pastures my friend.

I cannot tell you how much I will miss his ever-present smile and easy laugh. When I first saw this the Roger Miller song started playing in my head, ‘Hoppy’s Gone’. Maybe because it was written about another great Cowboy who always smiled and was quick to laugh.
